  • Genuine fuselage skin tags from the BOAC Boeing.

Available in three sizes measuring approximately 75 x 45mm, 60 x 40mm and 65 x 20mm, we’ve tried to ensure that none of the material from this iconic aeroplane is wasted. Each of these pieces vary slightly in size and finish - expect dinks, dents and scratches from service and teardown operations. Trimmed and deburred, they are laser-etched with the iconic ’Speedbird’ and BOAC logos, together with the aircraft registration. Fitted with a sturdy lobster claw clasp.

Manufacturer Serial Number 25823, G-BYGC first flew on 11th January 1999 and was delivered to British Airways’ Heathrow base a few days later on 17th.

In January 2019, ‘Golf Charlie’ was selected as one of three 747s to be painted in special, commemorative liveries marking the airline’s centenary. She returned to Heathrow from Dublin on 18th February, wearing the design of its predecessor British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC).

Her final revenue flight landed at Heathrow on April 4th 2020 from San Francisco. After entering storage at Cardiff in June, she took to the skies for the final time on 11th December, marking the airline’s final flight of the Queen of the Skies’.

Initial plans to preserve her, allowing public access to the aircraft, sadly fell through and she was scrapped in October 2023. Aerotiques acquired a number of components during the scrapping process and has produced a limited edition range of items to ensure this icon will live on in her retirement.

Supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
